Crab Crown is a free game for your browser, on a computer or a phone. You and seven other crabs, players or bots, land on a sunny blocky island, and monsters come for you from every side for 12 minutes (or 4). You pick a weapon and it fires by itself, so you just run, jump and pick your upgrades.
PLAY puts you on an island with others. SOLO is just you and the bots. INVITE A FRIEND gives you a link to bring friends to your island.
DAILY ISLAND is the same island for everyone each day. You get tries, and your best goes on the board.
Finish TASKS to earn SHELLS, then spend them on LOOKS for your crab.
P or Esc pauses, and M turns the sound on and off. Crab Crown is in early access, so new things come often.
To make Crab Crown better, we count how it gets played:
Your browser keeps a random number, so we can tell your rounds apart. It isn't your name, and it changes every 13 months.
The stats go only to 2games.com, encrypted. No names. No cookies. No ads. The stats don't keep your IP address, but our web host keeps standard server logs, which do. We keep the stats for 13 months.
Turn it off and no play stats are sent, and the random number is deleted.
When you play the DAILY ISLAND, it gives you a name like Salty Mango, and your browser keeps a secret key for it. Your rounds go to 2games.com to be checked, and your best goes on the board under that name, never the name you type (or as "Hidden crab", if you hide it).
Your LOOKS, TASKS and SHELLS stay in your browser. Once you have a crab, 2games.com keeps a copy with it too, so they come along to your other devices. The copy has a random ID for each of your devices, used only to add up your progress. It isn't your name, and it's never sold or used for ads. We delete that copy when you delete your crab, or when it doesn't play for 13 months.
The boards stay. When you delete your crab, or it doesn't play for 13 months, its places stay as "Deleted crab", with no name. A name you give up goes to nobody else for a year.
We keep the replay of your best round of a day:
Rounds that didn't count: 30 days.
In MY CRAB you can hide your name, get a code to play on another device of yours, and delete your crab (on the device you first played on). The board doesn't keep your IP address, but our web host's standard server logs do. Lost that device? A parent can ask us to delete your crab: write to info@2games.com.
Islands are open: anyone who presses PLAY can land on yours. Everyone there sees your crab's name and how you did. No crab, or a hidden one? Then you get a made-up name, like Jolly Penguin. There's no chat.
INVITE A FRIEND gives you a link to your island. Anyone who has the link can come in while there's room, so only send it to friends.
With SHARE PLAY STATS on, a round with others counts like your other rounds, plus how many people were on the island. The islands keep your IP address only while you play, and for a minute after, unless we block it for spamming them: then for 30 days. Our web host's standard server logs keep it too, as for the rest of the game.
